SPECIAL MEETING <br />PLANNING & ZONING COMMISSION <br />July 21, 1977 <br /> <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br />PLANNING & ZONING COMMISSION <br /> Special Meeting <br /> <br />A special meeting of the Ramsey Planning & Zoning Commission <br />was held on July 21, 1977 after the public hearings on preliminary <br />plats for Klemish & FlOres, High Point and Whispering Pines Plat 4. <br /> <br />Members present: <br /> <br />Ken Peterson, Brad Bodle, Gerald Zimmerman, and <br />Allen Sorteberg <br /> <br />Klemish & Flores Preliminary Plat <br /> <br />This plat is encompassed within the old preliminary plat of Klemish <br />Addition. Engineer Raatikka's report of June 29, 1977 was read and <br />reviewed. Most of theldiscussion was in regard to blacktopping of <br />169th Lane N.W., which is located on the north side of the plat. <br />Most adjacent landowners agreed to blacktop simultaneously. <br /> <br />Ken Peterson moved to recommend to the City Council to approve <br />the preliminary plat of Klemish & Flores Addition subject to: <br /> <br />a variance be granted on Lots I and 2, Block 3 in regard to <br />mean width of 200'~. <br /> <br />soil borings to be. taken by developer, (if required by building <br />inspector) on Blocks i and 2 at building inspector's discretion. <br /> <br />c. drainage plan be identified on final plat <br /> <br />d. park dedication be made in lieu of land. <br /> <br />Motion was seconded by. Brad Bodle and carried 4 to O. <br /> <br />Preliminary plat of High Point. <br /> <br />Keith Graham, land surveyor and George Zigler of Holker's Realty <br />presented the preliminary plat of High Point. This 120 acre plat <br />is located in Section 23 just west of Sunfish Lake Boulevard. It <br />contains 36 one acre lots and 21 three to five acre lots. This <br />plat contains the former Mel James fram and the proposed plan is <br />almost identical to the one proposed earlier this year. Some <br />discussion centered around the low lots in the middle of the plat <br />and along Xenon Street N.W. Probably special design of the septic <br />tank disposal systems Would be in order here. This proposed plat <br />has been before the Ramsey Park Commission which indicated that <br />they would prefer cash payment in lieu of land donation. <br /> <br />Brad Bodle moved to recommend to approve the preliminary plat of <br />High Point provided all conditions of the engineer's report dated <br />July 20, 1977 be met.
