Councilmember Haas Steffen introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION #99-01-018 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING METROPOLITAN COUNCIL'S PARKS AND <br />OPEN SPACE COMMISSION'S APPROVAL OF ANOKA COUNTY'S REVISED <br />REGIONAL TRAIL PLAN <br /> <br /> WItEREA$, the City of Ramsey's City Council and Park and Recreation Commission <br />support the development of trails, park and open space in the metropolitan area; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Regional trails provide access to both regional and local parks and open <br />space; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Regional trails link existing or planned local trails in addition to <br />neighborhood and commercial destinations. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, COUNTY OF ANOKA, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) That the City of Ramsey City Council and Park and Recreation Commission support <br /> adoption of Anoka County's Regional Trail plan and, in particular, the trail titled <br /> "Central Anoka County Regional Trail". <br /> <br />That the motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br />Councilmember Hendriksen and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor: <br /> <br /> Councilmember Haas Steffen <br /> Councilmember Hendriksen <br /> Councilmember Anderson <br /> Councilmember Zimmerman <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br /> None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br /> None <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br /> Mayor Gamec <br /> <br /> <br />
