<br />. <br /> <br />ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Economic and Development Commission conducted a special meeting on Tuesday, <br />April 29, 1986 at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., <br />Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: Mr. Don Greenberg, Chairman <br />Mr. Darryl Fults <br />Mr. Glen Hardin <br />Mr. Ken Wagner <br />Mr. Jack Ippel <br />Mr. Tom Kurak <br /> <br />Also Present: City Administrator David Hartley <br />Community Development Director Anne Norris <br />City Engineer Peter Raatikka <br /> <br />Members Absent: Mr. Bob Muller <br />Mr. Bernie Vevea <br />Mr. Steve DeLuca <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairman Greenberg called the meeting to order at 7:35 a.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> <br />Commission consensus was to approve the agenda as submitted. <br /> <br />QOMMISSION BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: Discussion reiardini public hearini on April 29. 1986 reiardini <br />extension of public im~rovements (sanitary sewer and municipal <br />water) to City's industrial area: a) Whether to use tax <br />increment financini; b) How to use tax increment revenues; <br />c) Scope of project: <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley stated that at the present time there is a large area described as <br />as a Tax Increment Development District and it consists of the City's 1990 <br />Urban Area. Within that area there is one tax increment district, which <br />includes F1intwood II, River's Bend and Oxbow, all of which are creating tax <br />increment. The increment can be used to do improvements, or anything that was <br />spelled out in the development plan, that applies to all of that area in the <br />April 29, 1986 <br /> <br />Page 1 of 4 <br />
