City UPDATE <br />Administrator's Report September 26, 2025 <br />Council Update <br />Fall Recycling Day <br />The Fall Recycling Day event is <br />scheduled for Saturday, September 27, <br />from 8:00 a.m. to noon at the Ramsey Public Works <br />Facility, located at 14199 Jasper Street NW. This event <br />provides residents with an opportunity to properly dispose <br />of various materials not accepted in the curbside recycling <br />program. <br />Accepted items include: <br />City of%it <br />RAMSEY <br />- Appliances <br />- Electronics <br />- Tires <br />- Fluorescent bulbs <br />- Batteries <br />- Oil <br />- Oil filters <br />- Antifreeze <br />- Mattresses/Box Springs <br />- Scrap metal <br />In addition to the above materials, standard curbside <br />recycling items such as cardboard, aluminum, steel, and tin <br />cans, as well as newspaper, plastic bottles, tubs (1 gallon or <br />less), and glass jars and bottles will also be accepted. <br />Community members can also take advantage of FREE <br />paper shredding that day. Please no 3-ring binders. There <br />is a limit of 3 boxes equivalent to 12 x 12 x 24 inches per <br />household. <br />For additional information about the event, visit <br />www.cityoframsey.com/ 1049. <br />2025 Business of the Year <br />The City of Ramsey has named SA Group, Inc. the 2025 <br />Business of the Year in recognition of its strong leadership, <br />steady growth, community impact and employee -focused <br />culture. Founded through Soderholm & Associates in <br />1959 and expanded with the creation of Water Control <br />Corporation in 1971, the company has deep local roots, <br />relocating to Ramsey in 1981. In 2024, SA Group completed a <br />46,000-square-foot expansion to its Ramsey facility, <br />featuring operations and a state-of-the-art training center. <br />The City of Ramsey is proud to have SA Group as part <br />of our business community and congratulates them on this <br />achievement. <br />Adopt -A -Flag <br />You may have seen the beautiful American Flags lining Sunwood Drive NW in front <br />of Ramsey City Hall. Did you know you can sponsor one of these flags to show civic <br />pride or honor a loved one's memory? Public. The flags are placed on the light poles <br />shortly before Memorial Day and removed after Veterans Day. <br />Your one-time donation will be acknowledged with an engraved nameplate <br />displayed in City Hall and at a City Council meeting. <br />There are two Adopt -A -Flag patronage levels. Friends of the Flag is $50 and sponsors <br />one of the 2' by 3' flags. The other is the Patriot Sponsorship, at $500.
