FINANCE COMMITTEE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Finance Committee conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, March 25, 1997, at the <br />Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Tom Gamec (arrived at 6:38 p.m.) <br />Councilmember Carolyn Beahen <br />Councilmember Shelia Beyer <br />Councilmember Natalie Haas Steffen <br />Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator Ryan Schroeder <br />Finance Officer Jessie Hart <br />Acting Police Chief Dave Gustafson <br />Zoning Administrator Sylvia Frolik <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairperson Beahen called the regular meeting of the Finance Committee to order at 6:01 p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br /> <br />Consensus was reached to approve the agenda as presented. <br /> <br />COMMITTEE BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: <br /> <br />Authorize Purchase of Two Police Squads and Approve Budget Amendment to <br />Cover Capital Costs <br /> <br />Finance Officer Hart explained the adopted 1997 General Fund Budget includes $43,000 for the <br />purchase of two police squads. This price was anticipated to include the purchase price of the <br />vehicles plus any set-up costs. When the budget was adopted, it was intended that these new squads <br />would be replacements for squads #201 and #202 which, in mm, would be rotated to the investigator <br />and into the Administrative fleet. She noted the background of the budgeting process and options <br />available for consideration.
