The brochure advertising the event was distributed to the EDC members for their input. As they
reviewed the brochure, Mr. Gromberg explained the proposed schedule for the mailing of the
finalized copy. The schedule calls for the flyer to be mailed during the second or third week of
July. A follow-up contact will occur during the second week of August, should that be
necessary.

Currently, the City has received commitments for seven teams, including two hole sponsorships.
The current success of the word of mouth advertising may result in the follow-up contacts not
being required.

The Commission completed its review of the brochure and made suggestions as to the wording
and the correction of some minor errors. After those corrections are made, it was the consensus
of the Commission to continue with the planning of the event. They will review the option of
purchasing additional door prizes at their next meeting.

Case #4: Hall of Fame Inductee for 1996

Each year the EDC recognizes a member of the community for their support and assistance in the
continued growth and positive development of the community. Last year, the EDC inducted
Wes Bulen into the Ramsey Business Hall of Fame. While considering this choice, the
Commission also considered individuals listed in the agenda for induction.

Vice-Chairperson Kent suggested that the EDC review the listed candidates and determine if a
more deserving candidate may be available or fit the criteria more closely. The Commission
members should come back to the July meeting with a choice for induction.

Mr. Gromberg was also directed to order a plaque for the inductee leaving the name space blank.
This will assure its availability for presentation at the Business Appreciation Day awards dinner.

STAFF UPDATES

A) Building Projects: The Commission was brought up to date on the current building
projects including the Listul project, AEC Corporate Headquarters, Automated EDM, Trend
Scientific, and Landmark Community Bank.

B) July Meeting Rescheduling: The regular meeting schedule would have the July meeting
set for July 4th. General policy would be to move the meeting to the following Thursday. It was
the consensus of the Commission to move the meeting to July 11, 1996 at 6:30 p.m.

Economic Development Commission/June 6, 1996
Page 4 of 5
