ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> COUNTY OF ANOKA <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Economic Development Commission conducted a regular meeting on Thursday, July <br />11, 1996, at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Chairperson Ken Wagner <br />Commissioner Allen Stafld <br />Commissioner Mary Ullen <br />Commissioner Carolyn Nelson <br />Commissioner Judy Roff <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />Commissioner Jim Rohrer <br />Commissioner David Kent <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Glen Hardin <br />Economic Development Coordinator James Gromberg <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairperson Wagner called the regular meeting of the Economic Development Commission to <br />order at 6:43 p.m. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Nelson and seconded by Commissioner Ullen to approve the agenda as <br />presented. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Wagner, Commissioners Stafki, Ullen, Nelson, and <br />Roff. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioners Kent and Rohrer. <br /> <br />APPROVE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Roff and seconded by Commissioner Stafki to approve the Economic <br />Development Commission meeting minutes dated June 6, 1996. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Commissioners Roff, Stafki, Ullen, and Nelson. Voting No: None. <br />Absent: Commissioners Kent and Rohrer. Abstaining: Chairperson Wagner. <br /> <br />NOTE CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES <br /> <br />The following minutes were noted by the Economic Development Commission: <br /> <br />1) <br />2) <br />3) <br /> <br />City Council regular meeting minutes dated April 9, 1996 <br />City Council regular meeting minutes dated May 14, 1996 <br />City Council regular meeting minutes dated May 28, 1996 <br /> <br />A discussion ensued with Mayor Hardin concerning the vehicle ordinance and the Livable Housing <br />issue. Many of the Commissioners expressed concern as to the negative results of "loosening" the <br />vehicle ordinance. Mayor Hardin explained that the issue was going back to the Planning <br />Commission for further review. The Livable Housing issue is based upon the Metropolitan <br />Council's initiative to provide housing for people in 'all levels of their life cycle.
