FIRE BOARD <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Fire Board conducted a regular meeting on Wednesday, February 14, 1996, at the <br />Ramsey Municipal,Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Glen Hardin <br />Councilmember Sheila Beyer <br />Chairperson Alan Pearson <br />Boardmember David Lewandowski <br />Boardmember Jon McLaughlin <br />Boardmember Chris Weiss <br />City Administrator Ryan Schroeder <br />Fire Chief Dean Kapler (ex officio) <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Administrative Services Manager Linda Waite Smith <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Boardmember Pearson called the regular meeting of the Fire Board to order at 6:04 p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> <br />Motion by Boardmember Weiss and seconded by Boardmember McLaughlin to approve the <br />following minutes: <br /> <br />1) Fire Board Regular Meeting Minutes dated November 15, 1995 <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Hardin, Councilmember Beyer, Chairperson Pearson, <br />Boardmembers Weiss, McLaughlin and Lewandowski. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> <br />Motion by Mayor Hardin and seconded by Boardmember Weiss to approve the agenda as <br />presented. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Hardin, Councilmember Beyer, Boardmember Pearson and <br />Boardmembers Weiss, Lewandowski and McLaughlin. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />BOARD BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case /ti: Carbon Monoxide Incidents <br /> <br />Fire Chief Kapler stated that carbon monoxide incidents are of great concern to the public. The <br />Fire Department is currently responding to these incidents with one vehicle and a crew of three. <br />He summarized the procedure. The crew first checks the physical condition of the occupants and <br />treats accordingly. Second, the entire structure is inspected for carbon monoxide with the gas <br />detector, with all ppm readings being noted on the Department's two-pan form.
