Case/t5: REVIEW COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AMENDMENT The purpose of this case is to forward comments or recommendations of the draft Comprehensive Plan Amendment to the City Council. Motion by Commissioner Skinner and seconded by Vice-Chair Cook to recommend concurrance with the document and recommend City Council approves it as it stands. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Vice-Chair Cook, Commissioners Asfahl, Johns, LaMere and Case Skinner. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioner Ostmm. #6: IDENTIFY PROCESS FOR RESOLVING CITY' COUNCIL/PARK AND RECREATION COMMISSION ISSUES Outstanding issues between City Council and the Commission need to be resolved regarding the appointment of Commissioner Ostrum and not re-appointing Chairperson Hetland. Vice-Chair Cook questioned whether staff collected information from applicants. Mr. Boos indicated that he was not sure exactly what Mr. Cook wants. Commissioner Johns suggested that perhaps Council is not clear either. Motion by Vice-Chair Cook and seconded by Commissioner Johns to request a special meeting between City Council/Park and Recreation Commission to reSolve issues stated in the letter from the Commission to the Council, and that the City Council suggest the date for the meeting (preference of the Commission is a Thursday night or a Tuesday night) prior to the March Park and Recreation meeting, and that the Council cease advertising the Commission vacancy until the issues are resolved. Mr. Boos is to put the request in memo form to the Council. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Vice-Chair Cook, CommisSioners Asfahl, Johns, LaMere and Skinner. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioner Ostrum. COMMISSION INPUT Next Park and Recreation Commission Meeting The next regular Park and Recreation Commission meeting will be held at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, February 8, 1996, at the Municipal Center.
