Easement - A grant by a property owner for use of a strip of land by the <br />public or any person for any specific purpose or purposes of construction and maintaining <br />utilities and/or roadways. <br /> <br /> Equipment, Commercial Use - Any motorized or non-motorized <br />apparatus whose primary use is to facilitate the generation of revenue. <br /> <br /> Equipment, Private Use - Any motorized or non-motorized apparatus <br />whose primary use is for personal activities not related to generating revenue or profit. <br /> <br /> Essential Services - The erection, construction, alteration or maintenance <br />of underground or overhead gas, electrical, steam or water transmission or distribution <br />systems, collection, communication, supply or disposal systems by public utilities, <br />municipal or other governmental agencies, but not including buildings. <br /> <br /> Farm - A tract of land used for agricultural uses which is under <br />cultivation or is fenced and utilized as pasture. <br /> <br /> Farming - Process of operating a farm for the growing and harvesting of <br />crops which shall include those necessary accessory buildings, related to operating a <br />farm, and the keeping of domestic farm animals. <br /> <br /> Fence - A fence is defined for the purpose of this City Code as any <br />partition, structure, wall or gate erected as a dividing marker, barrier or enclosure. <br /> <br /> Filling - The ~fct of depositing any rock, soil, gravel, sand or any other <br />material .... ,~ r,,~ .... .,,., rm ...... +~ bcd3,, .... + ............... +~ <br /> <br />Flood Fringe - That portion of the flood plain outside of the floodway. <br /> <br /> Floodplain - The areas adjoining a watercourse which have been or <br />hereafter may be covered by the regional flood .... <br /> <br /> Floodway - The channel of the watercourse and those portions of the <br />adjoining flood plain which are reasonably required to carry and. discharge the regional <br />flood. <br /> <br /> Floor Area Ratio - The total floor area on a zoning lot divided by the <br />total site area of the lot or parcel being developed. <br /> <br /> Floor Area - The sum of the gross horizontal areas of the several .floors of <br />a building or buildings measured from the exterior faces of exterior walls or from the <br />centerline of party walls. <br /> <br />9.02 - Definitions <br /> <br />9-11 Jan.
