Resources Manager since late February. Ms. Reed has quickly become familiar with the Human <br />Resources operation of the City and has been a wonderful resource for employees and <br />management staff. Staff looks forward to working with Ms. Reed. Staff recommended that <br />Givonna Reed be hired for the position of full-time Human Resources Manager at a starting <br />annual wage of $63,186 plus benefits and will accrue three weeks of vacation per year. Ms. <br />Reed's hiring is contingent on successful completion of background checks and passing an <br />employment physical and drug/alcohol screen. With Council's approval, Ms. Reed's start date <br />will be May 14, 2003. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Kurak, seconded by Councilmember Pearson, to recommend that the <br />City Council authorize the hiring of Givonna Reed for the position of full-time Human Resources <br />manager at a starting wage of $63,186 plus benefits and three weeks vacation, contingent upon <br />successful completion of background checks, employment physical, and drug/alcohol screen. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
