Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION # RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A REORGANIZATION OF THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT WHEREAS, staff is recommending that the City Council consider reorganization of the Community Development Department; and WHEREAS, the operational and fiscal impacts of the proposed reorganization have been considered; and WHEREAS, the fiscal impact to the budget would be $1306 effective January 1, 2004, if the staff recommendation is accepted; and WHEREAS, the proposed reorganization would more clearly define the roll of the second in command in the Cormnunity Development Department and would also provide increased supervision, particularly in the absence of the Community Development Director; and WHEREAS, the Personnel Committee has reviewed the request for reorganization and, along with staff, recommends the proposed changes to the City Council. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY 'COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1. The City Council authorizes the reorganization of the Community Development Department by creating an Assistant Community Development Director position. Pending approval of Recommendation #1, the City Council authorizes the promotion of Patrick Trudgeon to the position of Assistant Community Development Director. Pending approval of Recommendations 1 and 2, the City Council establishes a maximum annual salary of 76,463 effective January 1, 2004 for the Assistant community Development Department position. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: And the following voted against the same: And the following abstained: And the following were absent: Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 24th day of June 2003. -398-
