PC CASE <br /> <br />CONSIDER ENDING PROBATIONARY PERIOD <br />FOR POLICE CAPTAIN <br /> By: Givonna Reed, Human Resources Manager <br /> <br />Background <br /> <br />At its November 26, 2002 meeting, the City Council promoted Tim Dwyer'to the position <br />of First Sergeant effective November 27, 2002. On January 28, 2003, the position of <br />First Sergeant was changed to Captain. Mr. Dwyer has successfully completed his six- <br />month probationary period as Police Captain and the Police Chief recommends that <br />Mr. Dwyer be retained as Police Captain. <br /> <br />Staff Recommendation <br /> <br />Based on satisfactory completion of the sixth-month probationary period, staff <br />recommends that Tim Dwyer be retained as Police Captain. <br /> <br />Committee Action: <br /> <br />Motion recommending that the City Council adopt a resolution ending the probationary <br />period for Tim Dwyer and granting status as a full-time regular Police Captain. <br /> <br />Reviewed by: <br />Police Chief <br />Assistant City Administrator <br /> <br />PC: 06-24-03 <br /> <br />Copies also distributed to: <br />Personnel File <br /> <br />-411- <br /> <br /> <br />
