Trott Brook Greenway Corridor <br /> Ramsey, Minnesota <br /> <br />PROGtL&M MANAGER QUALIFICATIONS AND ORGAaNIZATION DESCRIPTION <br /> <br />MARK BOOS - Project Manager <br /> <br /> Mark Boos, Parks and Utilities Supervisor for the City of Ramsey <br /> This position is responsible for the operation, maintenance and development of Ramsey's Park <br /> and Trail system. The annual operational budget for the Park system is $522,000. The average <br /> Park's Capital Improvements completed each year are between $100,000 to $300,000. <br /> <br /> Mark Boos has 20 years experience with Ramsey Public Works, while specializing in Parks and <br /> natural resource issues, as well as municipal utilities. The total operating budget for the Sewer <br /> and Water utility, [less Capital ImprovementsJ, is over $1,000,000. <br /> <br />Relevant Experience: <br />Mr. Boos has demonstrated success at externally funded Improvement projects and programs. <br />Notably, severaI Minnesota DNR' and Small Business Administration grants, Community <br />Development Block ~ants - and currently is partnering with the Anoka Conservation District on <br />the 2002 Greenway Planning grant. He also is in the first phase of construction of' the 100 acre <br />Elmcrest Park, of which, $100,000 dollars was contributed by the Minnesota Amateur Sports <br />Commission and the Department of Children Families and Learning <br /> <br />CITY OF RAMSEY -- Lead Agency <br /> <br />Ramsey is a suburban city tocated in the northwestern part of Anoka County, with a population <br />of 18,5 l 0. Two scenic rivers dominate its borders, the Rum and Mississippi River. Also an <br />advantage is that the community is bordered by the Rum River Central and Mississippi West <br />Park- both a part of the Metropolitan Parks and the Open Space Commission system. <br /> <br />Ramsey has been proactive in retaining green spaces for parks and open spaces in its <br />neighborhoods.
