Ramsey, Minnesota <br /> <br /> Result 3: Land Acquisition and Conservation Easements ($12,282,000) <br /> <br /> tn addition to/and already owned by the City of Ramsey, there is approximately 560 acres of <br /> land that would need to be acquired to complete the Trott Brook Com'dor. Some land protection <br /> options will require little financial commitment, such as voluntary stewardship agreements, <br /> covenants, deed restrictions, and donated conservation easements. However, the purchase of <br /> conservation easements or development rights on some parcels of/and will be necessary. <br /> <br /> It is anticipated that 10% of the land will be acquired through credit against future park <br /> dedication / tax deductible donation (no cost); 5% through t-he purchase of development rights <br /> ($30,000 an acre); 50% through the purchase of scenic and trail easements ($12,000 an acre); <br /> and 35% through the purchase of land ($41,000 an acre). <br /> The Minnesota Land Trust will assist in identifying the necessary acquisitions, negotiating .with <br /> landowners, and establishing easements. <br /> <br /> Personnel: $ 40,000 <br />Acquisition: Development Rights $ 840,000 <br /> Scenic and Trail Easements $ 3,400,000 <br /> Land Acquisition $ 8,000,000 <br />Other: Office Supplies $ 1,000 <br /> Printing, Advertising, Communication $ 1,000 <br /> <br />III.
