#9 Alpine Playground and Interpretive Seating Cove <br /> <br />$80,000 <br /> <br />This improvement would be sited South of the park's entrance in view of the Alpine <br />Addition across the street. It will be a recreation destination 'unto itself- as well as for <br />families there for other purposes. <br />The design would incorporate tiered perennial beds around the playstructure. The <br />irrigated landscaping would invite parents and users to sit in and among the foliage, <br />thereby providing relaxing, educational surroundings to supervise their child's play. One <br />theme to compliment the perennial plantings would the subject of lepidoptera [The study <br />of butterflies]. The playstructure itself could even carry this theme. <br /> <br /># Turtle Nesting Site at Wetland #114P <br /> <br />$1,000 <br /> <br />The majority of this habitat replacement project would, be accomadated by in-house <br />labor. The DNR non-game wildlife program may be consulted for design matters. <br /> <br />2004 <br /> <br />-Trail Bonding Projects ?- <br /> <br />#10a Co. Rd. #83 Trail from 167th Lane to Alpine Dr. - to Lake Itasca $220,000 <br /> <br />Construction of this trail would be primarily in the R.O.W. of Armstrong Boulevard and <br />Alpine Drive. The route would be from the North end of the Lake Itasca Trail, South to <br />Alpine Drive, then West to the trail adjacent to the lake. This project has been in the 5- <br />year plan for several years and in addition to the recreational values, enhances safety for <br />motorists and pedestrians alike. The Landfill Trust fund is currently shown as a partial <br />match with potential State or DNR Trail Grant monies. <br /> <br />#10b Sunfish Lake 'Shoreside' Park 144th Ave to Fox'Knoll Trail . <br /> <br />$52,800 <br /> <br />#10c Elmcrest's T.H. 47 Entrance to River Pines Trail <br /> <br />$32,000 <br /> <br />10d Trott Brook Cemetary to Elmcrest Park Trail <br /> <br />$104,000 <br /> <br />#9 Titterud Plavequipment Replacement <br /> <br />$55,000 <br /> <br />2004 is the first year in which this plan proposes General fund monies. The $25,000 <br />would be added to the parks Depreciation Fund value (estimated here at $30,000).
