Commissioner Johns asked if the play equipment is built in at Woodland Green. <br /> <br />Parks/Utilities Supervisor Boos stated they would keep the timbers and the play equipment <br />would be built into it. Wood chip is considered accessible and the timbers in the back would <br />remain. <br /> <br />Commissioner Ostrum asked if there was only one of the three choices that included swings. <br /> <br />Parks/Utilities Supervisor Boos stated he did not have time to review in detail all the plans so he <br />did not know. <br /> <br />Commissioner Ostmm stated that when he brings his grandchildren to the park, he has noticed <br />the swings are the most used so he would like equipment that included swings. <br /> <br />Commissioner Shryock asked if there are any space restrictions. <br /> <br />Parks/Utilities Supervisor Boos stated he was not aware Of. any restrictions and it could spread <br />out a little further to accommodate the equipment. <br /> <br />Commissioner Shryock asked how many playground structures are made of wood. <br /> <br />Parks/utilities Supervisor Boos stated a lot of the playground structures in the parks are wood. <br /> <br />Commissioner LaMere asked what the tuff timbers are like. <br /> <br />Commissioner Johns stated she was out to the park today and she was wondering if they were <br />utilizing them. <br /> <br />Commissioner Ostrum stated they cannot be using the existing border because each layout is a <br />different area overall. <br /> <br />Commissioner Johns asked if the covered picnic table is free standing. <br /> <br />Parks/Utilities Supervisor Boos stated it could be relocated. <br /> <br />Commissioner Ostrum stated he liked option "C" because there are swings in that desig-n.' <br />Chairperson Cook stated swings have to take up a lot of room. <br /> <br />Parks/Utilities Supervisor Boos stated swings are popular and he would like to have the existing <br />swings removed because they are not within code. The three playground equipment options were <br />shown to the Commission.
