CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> <br />REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL <br />MASTER TRAIL PLAN <br /> <br />Introduction <br /> <br />The City of Ramsey is seeking pro[,:osals for professional planning and engineering services to <br />assist the City in preparing a Master Trail Plan. Ramsey is a third-ring suburb in Western Anoka <br />County with an approximate population of 19,000. Enclosed with this Request for Proposal <br />(RFP) is the current Park and Trail Plan map and the Parks section of the draft Comprehensive <br />Plan. These two items provide a snapshot of the City's land use and trail user distribution. <br /> <br />Sources of Information <br /> <br />The City has its Park and Trail Plan in digitized form that can be reproduced or modified by <br />Anoka County GIS Department. Also available are 1"/200' aerial photos of the City. A draft <br />Comprehensive Plan has been submitted to Metropolitan Council and is available for a fee. <br /> <br />Format of Proposal <br /> <br />In order to review and evaluate the proposals, each shall be organized in the following manner: <br /> <br />A. Statement of Qualifications and Experience <br /> <br />Include a resume of the firm's expertise in master trail planning. This must include the <br />names of individuals and their role in the plan as well as their phone and fax number. <br />Include a brief resume of the firm's experience with natural resource protection and <br />enhancement also including the names of those persons who may also be working on the <br />Master Trail Plan. <br /> <br />B. Scope of Work <br /> <br />Describe in detail the firm's perception of the work to be performed including suggested <br />refinbments of the proposed Master Plan Table of Contents shown below. <br /> <br />Introduction (to include): <br />· Purpose of Master Plan <br />· History of Ramsey's trails <br />· Overview of existing Trail Plan <br />· Overview of differing trail types <br />· Vision of Ramsey's trails at community "build-out" <br />· Comparison and relationship of Comprehensive Plan to Trail Plan and, in particular, <br /> greenways, <br /> <br /> <br />
