1) <br /> <br />Consider Ending Probationary Period of Community Service Officer <br />The Personnel Committee recommended adopting Resolution #01-08-318 ending <br />probationary, period for Community Service Officer Carey $chiferli and ~anting lzim the <br />status of regular pan-time employee effective August 26,2001. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />ConSider Ending Probationa~ Period of Public Works Lead Person <br /> <br />The Personnel Committee recommended adopting Resolution #0t-08-319 ending <br />probationary period tbr Public Works Lead Person John Nelson and ~anting h/m the <br />status of regular full-time employee effective August 14, 200 I. <br /> <br />Authorize Appointment of Paid On-Call Fire Fighters <br />The Personnel Committee recommended that Ken Amundson, Jamie VanSteenbergen, <br />Adam Gordon, and J~m Block be appointed to paid, on-call fire fighter positions <br />contingent upon satisfactory results o~' the criminal backgound checks, driving record <br />checks, and required physical examinations and drug screens. The candidates will be <br />brought on as members in September 2001, and January 2002. <br /> <br />4) <br /> <br />Receive Information Regarding Policy on Filling Commission Vacancies <br />The Personnel Committee gave direction to staff on amending the policy and requested <br />that the policy be brought back for formal approval. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Anderson, seconded by Councilmember Kurak, to ratify the <br />recommendations of the Personnel Committee. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
