CASE #: 3

REVIEW PARK DEVELOPMENT FUNDING SOURCES
By: Mark Boos, Parks/Utilities Supervisor

Background:

During the discussion on the Central Park Entrance project, the Commission discussed
the different potential funding sources available. It was determined that a review of the
various Park development funds would be advantageous to formalize a recommendation
on the above project and also before the start of the 5 year Capital Improvement Plan
process.

Attached to this case are the following funds: · Park Trust Fund (by Recreation District and "Commt/nity Wide" available at the
meeting).
· Lawful Gambling Program
· Landfill Trust Fund
· Trail Construction Fund (included with the Park Trust Fund, staff will attempt to
have a breakout for the meeting).

Staff recommends a general review of the fund balances in anticipation of the C.I.P.
process and an affirmation on the recommended funding of the Central Park project.

Commission Action:
Based on discussion

Reviewed by:

Finance Officer
Director of Public Works

P & R: 05/10/01
