Site Plan Review: Lord of Life Apartment Building <br />Page 3 of 3 <br />August 3 1,2001 <br /> <br />13. <br /> <br />Utilities: The apmuuent building will be connected to municipal water and samtary sewer. Existing <br />mains are readily available to connect to these services. Applicable sewer and water trunk fees will <br />need to be paid to the City. Three fire hydrants are located' around the proposed apartment building. <br />However, no connecting watermains are identified. These hydrants and watermains will be private. <br /> <br />14. <br /> <br />Architectural Standards: The e,,ctehors of the structure is proposed to consist of metal siding, block <br />and brick. The mol will have asphalt shingles. The apartment building will consist of three stories. <br />The proposed height of the apartment building exceeds the 35 foot mx/mm height for structures <br />allowed under City Code. The applicant is applying for a variance to exceed the maximum height <br />concurrently with the site plan review process. The first story will contain 15 apartment traits and the <br />second and third stories will contain 16 apartment umts each. The building will have 6 one-bedroom <br />and 41 two-bedroom units. The one bedroom units will be 770 square fe~ andthe two bedroom units- <br />will range from 966 to 1,320 square feM. These sizes all exceed City Ordinance requirements. A color <br />rendering of the elevations is required at the time of thC Planning Commission meeting. <br /> <br />15. Laundry Facilities: Each apartment is shown to have a designated laundry area for a washer and <br /> dryer. <br /> <br />The City Council will be meeting at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 4, 2001, at the Rarnsey Fire Station <br />II, 15050 Armstrong Blvd., NW, to review your proposed site plan. I suggest that you, or your <br />representative, be pre-qent at the meeting to answer any questions that may arise.
