Absent: None l <br /> <br />Case g4: Open Space Information Grant <br /> <br />Parks/Supervisor Boos stated that Staff recently found out about a grant involving the LeagUe of <br />Conservation Voters. The grant opportunity would be for aSsisting the City in terms of technical <br />matters and the production of colored brochures or spots for cable TV-or the Cities web Site 'for <br />open space protection. He stated the LeagUe of Conservation Voters have worked with Dakota <br />County on this sort of initiative and have developed some boiler plate information. It relates <br />directly to the greenway planning and the trails and trail corridors to a lesser degreel <br /> <br />Commissioner Ostrum aSked what the dollar amount is. <br /> <br />Parks/Utilities Supervisor Boos stated a dollar amount waS not specified or required. <br /> <br />Commissioner Ostmm aSked if they were'just kpproving the concept. <br /> <br />Parks/Utilities Supervisor Boos concurred this was true. <br /> <br />Commissioner Ostmm stated he does not see anything but a benefit to the City. <br /> <br />Commissioner Olds agreed with him. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Ostrum, seconded by Commissioner Olds to. recommend the LeagUe of <br />Conservation Voters grant. · <br /> <br />Motion carried. Absent: None. <br /> <br />Case #5: <br /> <br />Central Park's Entrance Irrigation <br /> <br />Parks/Utilities SuperVisor Boos explained the purpose of this case is to review and approve the <br />plans and specifications for irrigating the new entrance area at Central Park as well as the tenms <br />court area.
