Trail with hand mowers and cleared the sidewalk <br />around Columbia Arena by shovel. <br /> <br />Paul especially enjoys the people he works with. <br />He feels the maintenance crew is multi-talented, <br />knowledgeable, and all have great personali~ri~s..A <br />moment that stands out in.his mind came when the <br />crew made a push to ready Centerville Bench for <br />the grand opening three summers ago.. Straight <br />· line winds had toppled a structure and' many' trees. <br />The crew banded· together and provided the <br />finishing tbuches to the park. Today, Centerville <br />Beach is .a popular .destination for swimmers, <br />campers, boaters.and picnickers. <br /> <br />Before his current job, Paul worked for 14 years <br />with his two brothers and 'father at Bonds <br />Service 5ration in Columbia Heights. For two <br />years he attended St. Cloud 5tare and then <br />enlisted in the United States Navy. He went on <br />two "cruises" to Viet Nam as a Maintenance Data <br />Coordinator. After the service, he began his work <br />at the family's service station. <br /> <br />Paul has lived in his current house in Columbia <br /> <br />Heights ail of his life, taking'over the home from <br />his parents. ApparentlY, it ·uSed to be the town <br />livery stableJ He and-his wife Barb h~v <br />married 30 years. They have three sons - <br />(28),.
