Commissioner Olds stated on the same page, it was indicated that "Mr. Kangas .stated their crews <br />were instructed to measure anything over 10 inches in height or diameter." <br /> <br />Parks/Utilities Supervisor Boos stated he wondered it these minutes were the uncorrected version <br />they received because they normally check the minutes for items the recording secretary may not <br />be aware of. <br /> <br />Commissioner Olds stated on page 5, eighth paragraph stated "He stated this is' a pr-esidem <br />precedent setting development..." He also changed Mr. Ramberg's address to 5670 146th Circle <br />NW. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Rolfe, seconded by Commissioner Shryock, to approve the following <br />Park and Recreation Commission Regular Meeting Minutes: <br /> <br />1) Amended Park and Recreation Commission Regular Meeting Minutes dated January 9, 2003. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Johns, Commissioners R01fe, Shryock, LaMere, Olds, <br />and Ostrum. Voting No: None. Absent: None. <br /> <br />COMMISSION BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: <br /> <br />Town Center Open Space and Recreation Presentation <br /> <br />Parks/Utilities Supervisor Boos explained the developer's representatives has been meeting with <br />staff regularly to review all elements of City Code, policies, maintenance requirements and' <br />development standards that may apply to the proposed PUD. Parks/Utilities Supervisor Boos <br />discussed the information with the Commission. <br /> <br />Mr. Bruce Jacobson and Mr. Bob Close of Close Landscape Architecture stated the development <br />was still in the preliminary stages. ' <br /> <br />Mr. Jacobson pointed out the fact that they recognize the design for parks and trails on this site' <br />respond to three distinct scales. He stated the first piece is recognizing how the site fits within <br />the regional open space plan. The second piece is recognizing .the significance in County Parks <br />and Trails Corridor Plan and the next scale is the City scale. He stated the third scale is the <br />development scale which is the site itself. ' <br /> <br />Mr. Jacobson showed a. map of the proposed develOPment and discussed the different land uses <br />with the Commission. <br /> <br />Mr. Close discusSed the Preliminary deSign, and different types of blocks with the CommiSsion. <br />He stated Community Commons is the heart of the center and .they are looking at a couple of <br />different spaces which may be more paved than green spaces.
