Feature Employee - Gerry Kush <br /> <br />Gerry Kush has been a Parkkeeper with Anoka County Parks and <br />Recreation for almost 16 years. Most of the first ten years were <br />spent as the primary Parkkeeper for Coon Rapids Dam Regional <br />Park. He has especially enjoyed the last six years, based mostly <br />in the northern portion of the county. Gerry truly appreciates <br />working in the great outdoors and in the beautiful park settings <br /> <br /> Ge~ is an outstanding ~ntdbutor to the Parks team. <br /> <br />throughout the park system. His varied background has made <br />Gerry an all-purpose handyman for the Maintenance Unit. <br /> <br />Prior to working for Anoka County, Gerry worked for four <br />at a landscaping/tree farm company. For about seven <br />worked in residential construction and remodeling. Gerry is a <br />graduate of the University of Minnesota - Crookston with a <br />degree in Natural Resources/Parks and Recreation. He <br />graduated'from Coon Rapids High School after spending most of <br />his youth growing up in Nebish~ Minnesota. Nebisb is south of <br />R~d Lake and is home to many of his relatives. 'He grew up on <br />a dairy farm caring for 48 Jersey cows. <br /> <br />Gerry and his wife, Stephanie, now reside in Elk River with their <br />I I year old son Matt and 9 year old daughter'McKenzie. Both <br />children are active in sports. Gerry has assisted with the <br />coaching duties for football and basketball. He enjoys watching <br />his kids playing all of their sports. Besides those activities, he <br />likes to hunt and fish. He has a north woods getaway about 30 <br />miles west of Duluth with a cabin and 40 acres. <br /> <br />Gerry Kush is an extremely valuable member of the' Parks and <br />Recreation team.
