The 1995 event will
be the fifth year that the event has been held and is scheduled for Saturday, May 6, 1995 at the City
Municipal Center.

This event is run for the most part on donations from area businesses and individuals and profits
from T-shirt sales. The City contributes staff time by allowing the individuals hour-for-hour time
off in the same pay period that the event is held.

Since 1990, when the initial donation was received, the fund has accumulated an excess of
$3,182.44, which can be utilized towards funding of the 1995 event [this carry forward balance
does not yet include interest earnings for 1994]. The following is a summary of the activity in
1994:
Fund Balance 1/1/94 $4,023.60
Donations- 1994 6,407.25
Expenditures- 1994 (7.248.41)
Fund Balance 12/31/94 $3,182.44

Expenditures consist of bicycle helmets, bicycles, clowns for entertainment, advertising, printing,
refreshments and T-shirts for resale. It is anticipated that the nature of the expenditures will remain
somewhat consistent for 1995 although we have projected the cost to increase slightly to
accommodate increasing participation in the event. The proposed budget for the 1995 event is as
follows:

Revenues:
Existing Fund Balance
Donations Needed
Expenditures
Projected Excess for 1995

$3,182.44
4,282.56
(7.465.00~
$ -0-

Base on past participation, donations and T-shirt sales, it is anticipated that the approximately
$4,300.00 needed in additional revenue should be easily attainable. In the event that necessary
additional revenues are not received, the event itself can be scaled back somewhat.
