PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> <br />Chairperson Bawden adjourned the regular Planning Commission meeting at 7:36 p.m. in order to <br />conduct the following public hearings: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />Request for a Conditional Use Permit to Store Commercial Landscaping Equipment in the <br />R-1 Rural Residential District; Case of Mike Bahn <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />Request for a Conditional Use Permit to Store Commercial Equipment in the R-1 Rural <br />Residential District; Case of Don Godden <br /> <br />3) Request for a Conditional Use Permit to Grade and Export Soils; Case of North Fork, Inc. <br /> <br />4) Request for a Conditional Use Permit for Grading Soils; Case of North Fork, Inc. <br /> <br />5) <br /> <br />Request for a Conditional Use Permit to Expand the Grace Community Bible Church <br />Facility in the R-1 Residential District; Case of Grace Community Bible Church <br /> <br />Chairperson Bawden called the regular Planning Commission meeting back to order at 8:50 p.m. <br /> <br />COMMISSION BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: <br /> <br />Request for a Conditional Use Permit to Store Commercial <br />Landscaping Equipment in the R-I Rural Residential District; Case of <br />Mike Bahn <br /> <br />Commissioner Deemer inquired as to who was notified of the public hearing on this matter, and <br />Zoning Administrator Frolik explained that everyone along both routes which the applicant uses to <br />get to T.H. #47 were notified. <br /> <br />The Planning Commission proceeded to review the Findings of Fact. <br /> <br />Consensus of the Planning Commission was to accept #1 through #10 as presented. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Deemer and seconded by Commissioner LaDue to amend #11 to read <br />"That the proposed use will not be detrimental to persons residing or working in the vicinity of the <br />use or to the public welfare because of noise, odors or visual impact generated by the use of the <br />equipment." <br /> <br />Motion carded. Voting Yes: Chairperson Bawden, Commissioners Deemer, LaDue, Hendriksen, <br />and Thorud. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioners Holland and Terry. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Thorud and seconded by Commissioner LaDue to amend #12 to read <br />"That the proposed use will not substantially adversely impair the use, enjoyment or market value <br />of any surrounding properties because of noise, odor or visual impact. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Bawden, Commissioners Thorud, LaDue, Deemer, and <br />Hendriksen. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioners Holland and Terry. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Deemer and seconded by Commissioner Hendriksen to amend #13 to <br />read "That the proposed use will not be harmonious and in accordance with any specific objectives <br />of the Comprehensive Plan." <br /> <br />Planning Commission/June 6, 1995 <br /> Page 2 of 14 <br /> <br /> <br />
