Mr. Peterson explained that the proposal is to have the loaded trucks go west on 145th Lane to a
private road (Sunfish Lake Drive) in which Good Value Homes has an easement to use. Then the
trucks go south on Sunfish Lake Boulevard out to Highway gl0. He noted that Sunfish Lake
Drive is relatively narrow and it wouldn't be possible for trucks to meet, therefore they are
proposing that the empty trucks come through Chestnut Hill.

Joe Noonan, 14546 Krypton Street N.W. - requested a map showing the exact area the material is
being taken from, and Mr. Peterson pointed out the area on a map.

Commissioner Deemer advised that one of the haul roads (Sunfish Lake Drive) on the egress route
runs across his property, and Mr. Peterson has the fight to use it. He stated that he didn't intend to
abstain from discussion or voting because he is not in a position which makes financial approval.

Mark Thompson, 14714 Krypton Street N.W. - questioned the indication of the lots on the map
and the location of the trees. He inquired as to how may trees, and how deep, will stay in the
wetland area.

Mr. Peterson replied that although the trees in the area of the housing pads will be taken out, they
will leave as many trees as possible.

Ms. Frolik reported that this plat was approved one year ago, and everyone within 350 feet were
notified of the public hearing. For this public hearing, everyone on the haul routes were notified.

Ms. Kalstad inquired if the trucks would cut up the road badly preventing her from being able to
get out.

Mr. Peterson stated he didn't believe such would happen, but he is prepared to restore the road of
any damage.

Mr. Noonan inquired, since Mr. Peterson couldn't indicate how far back the tree line will go, if he
will own those lots.

Mr. Peterson replied that he will sell lots to other builders. He advised that he developed Krypton
Street, and the original development did not want trees knocked down. Mr. Peterson assured that
he keeps working with the neighbors as he goes along. He will attempt to save trees. Trees mean
value; the more trees, the more value of the lot. However, he noted that, from an engineering
standpoint, you cannot save all the trees and develop the land.

Mr. Noonan commented that Mr. Peterson will not be able to control how many trees will be taken
out by each builder.

ADJOURNMENT

Motion by Commissioner Terry and seconded by Commissioner Hendriksen to adjourn the public
hearing.

Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Bawden, Commissioners Terry, Hendriksen, Deemer,
Holland, and LaDue. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioner Thorud.

The public hearing adjourned at 7:56 p.m.

Respectfully submitted,

Joa~m~Ku sler -- Sylvit~ Frolik
Recording Secretary Zoning Administrator
Public Hearing/Planning Commission/August 1, 1995
Page 2 of 2
