2)

3)

The City will be holding a ceremonial contract signing with Anoka Electric Cooperative on
February 8, 1995. Members of the Economic Development Commission are encouraged to
attend this informal event.

Closing on the Wendell's property will be held on February 15, 1995. A ground breaking
is tentatively scheduled for the same week.

COMMISSION INPUT

Chairperson Wagner asked if all of the Economic Development Commission members had received
a copy of the Planning Commission recommendation on the proposed map for the Comprehensive
Land Use Plan. They should have received them within the previous two weeks.

Chairperson Wagner distributed a copy of a memo he wrote to the Mayor and City Council. This
memo responded to the accusations made by the Planning Commission subcommittee that looked
at the Comprehensive Plan, including the Transportation Plan, as to the work the Economic
Development Commission had done and the process of developing their recommendation for this
plan. Mr. Wagner felt that there needed to be a response to these accusations that were to be
directed to City Council rather than the Planning Commission.

Commissioner Kent agreed with Chairperson Wagner and suggested that one of the EDC members
attend the next City Council meeting.

ADJOURNMENT

Motion by Commissioner Marquart and seconded by Commissioner McGhee to adjourn the
meeting of the Economic Development Commission.

Motion carded. Voting Yes: Chairperson Wagner, Commissioners Marquart, Kent, McGhee, and
Stafki. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioners Ullen and Nelson.

The regular meeting oj~the/~eonomic Development Commission adjourned at 7:25 p.m.
////
Respectfully

james D.
t~fionomi~ Development C~rdinator

/ccr

Economic Development Commission / February 2, 1995
Page 5 of 5
