It is recommended to hold the cost to about $75, as in previous years.

Case #2: Ramsey Business Appreciation Day

With regard to the Business Appreciation Day, the City has received a bid from The Links at
Northfork and is awaiting a bid from Rum River Hills golf course. The bid from The Links is
approximately $50 per person.

Commissioner Ullen suggested that if we select the Northfork site, that we increase the price per
golfer in order to get a better meal, especially for those who attend just the dinner.

The inductees for the Ramsey Business Hall of Fame were Alan Philips for 1993 and Nils
Sundquist for 1994. Other persons considered last year were Gary Reimann, Bob Brown,
Bernerd Vevea, Harold Stoltz, Wes Bulen, and Gerald Bauer. The EDC may wish to select one of
these candidates or develop a new list of candidates.

Candidate qualifications were discussed.

Case #3: Business Visitations

In keeping with the visitation process of every other Thursday, three businesses have been visited
that are housed in the Sharp Building; Cartridge Rework Service, T & J Associates Printing, and
Simpson Glass. Attached is a brief summary of those visits. The next visits will be on March
23rd and April 13th.

Commissioner Ullen volunteered to visit the business on March 23, 1995 and Chairperson Wagner
will be visiting a business on April 13, 1995.

Case #4: Highway #10 Redevelopment

Maps were provided to the EDC members showing a specific area on Highway #10. They were
asked to drive through that area in order to be able to make suggestions regarding resolution of area
problems. Some suggestions included rezoning, removing old buildings and rebuilding with new
and higher uses, and correcting driveway access problems. The goal of area improvement may be
reached by financial incentives to property owners.

Mn/DOT has been contacted regarding other issues and they have implied that they will be taking a
more active role in encouraging the closure of private accesses onto Highway #10 and utilizing
Riverdale Drive. We may want to suggest some form of assistance for businesses who change
their access location, such as landscaping the facility or financial assistance for construction of a
new access. Mn/DOT may have assistance available.

Economic Development Commission / March 9, 1995
Page 3 of 4
