Commissioner Nelson mentioned that the July meeting was schedule only 2 days after
Independence Day, when many persons are scheduling long weekends and vacations and
suggested rescheduling the July meeting for July 13, 1995.

Motion by Commissioner Nelson and seconded by Commissioner to reschedule the July
Economic Development Commission meeting on July 13, 1995 at 6:30 p.m.

Motion carded. Voting Yes: Chairperson Wagner, Commissioners Nelson, Ullen, and Kent.
Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioners Stafki, McGhee, and Marquart.

Commissioner Nelson was excused from the meeting at 7:15 p.m.

Case #4: Game Fair Booth

The Game Fair is scheduled for August 11 through 13 and 18 through 20, 1995 at the Armstrong
Ranch Kennels. The City will sponsor a booth and will require volunteer staffing. In addition to
getting volunteers, the EDC should determine the information to be available for distribution.

We may wish to use this event to advertise the City of Ramsey. One idea is to stretch a banner
across Armstrong Boulevard saying "The City of Ramsey Welcomes the Game Fair", or perhaps
to speed the construction of the entrance sign along the eastern boundary of the City along
Highway #10. In light of that, the owner of the ParaBody facility have been contacted and have
responded favorably to the possibility of granting a sign easement on their property, similar to the
one at the comer of Highway #10 and 153rd Avenue. The City will be forwarding a sign easement
document to the ParaBody owner with the property described. When this is returned, we will
begin the bidding process and construction of the sign.

Anoka Electric Cooperative has been contacted regarding the cost of erecting a banner over
Armstrong Boulevard on their utility poles. Mr. Gromberg requested the name and contact person
of any known banner companies from the EDC members.

EDC members agreed to review their schedules and arrange times to be at the booth during the
Game Fair.

ADJOURNMENT

Motion by Commissioner Ullen and seconded by Commissioner Kent to adjourn the meeting of the
Economic Development Commission.

Motion carded. Voting Yes: Chairperson Wagner, Commissioners Ullen, and Kent. Voting No:
None. Absent: Commissioners Nelson, Stafki, McGhee, and Marquart.

Development Commission adjourned at 7:35 p.m.

/ccr

Economic Development Commission/June 8, 1995
Page 4 of 4
