Case #$: Schedule Meeting Dates for 1995 <br /> <br />Boardmember Pearson stated his schedule is very flexible. <br /> <br />Chief Kapler stated he would prefer it if the meetings were changed from Mondays, but <br />added that his schedule could be rearranged. <br /> <br />Boardmember Williams stated he would just as soon have the meetings at 6:00 on the <br />second Wednesday of the month. <br /> <br />Mayor Hardin stated he is okay with $:30 on a Monday or 6:00 on a Wednesday. <br />Councilmember Beyer stated that Wednesdays are good for her. <br /> <br />Boardmember Weiss stated it didn't matter to him. <br /> <br />Councilmember Beyer inquired if Chief Kapler felt that meeting quarterly is sufficient. <br /> <br />Chief Kapler felt that if nothing pertinent comes up, meeting quarterly is fine. A special <br />meeting could always be scheduled if necessary. <br /> <br />Consensus was that the Fire Board would continue to meet quarterly but that it would be on <br />the second Wednesday of the month at 6:00 in the Fire Department. The next meeting is <br />scheduled for Wednesday, April 12, 1995. <br /> <br />BOARD INPUT <br /> <br />1) Future Agenda Items <br /> <br />Chief Kapler stated he would like to initiate discussions about where the Ramsey Fire <br />Department is going - future wise - ten years from now, etc., and where the department <br />should be going and what we need to do to get us to that point. He welcomed any input. <br /> <br />Boardmember Wilson inquired if Chief Kapler is talking about this from a capital <br />investment point of view. <br /> <br />Chief Kapler said investments are a part of it, but also the different services that should be <br />offered, etc. <br /> <br />City Administrator Schroeder suggested that the biggest opportunity for department growth <br />will be in the industrial sector - dealing with fire prevention, etc. <br /> <br />2 ) New Tanker <br /> <br />Boardmember Williams expressed appreciation on behalf of the Fire Department for the <br />new tanker. He added "it's a great truck". <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Beyer and seconded by Boardmember Weiss to adjourn the <br />meeting. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Hardin, Councilmember Beyer, Boardmembers <br />Weiss, Pearson, and Williams. Voting No: None.
