Absent: None. <br /> <br />COMMISSION INPUT <br /> <br />Chairperson Hetland was contacted by a member of the model airplane club inquiring where in <br />Ramsey they could fly their planes now that the old airport is no longer available to them. <br />Consensus of the Commission was to find out their particular needs as to the amount of space <br />required, etc., prior to any decisions. <br /> <br />Parks/Utilities Supervisor Boos spoke about the joint meeting with Elk River. The Commission is <br />to assume that a regular meeting will be held at Elk River at 6 p.m., March 8, with the joint <br />meeting following. Mr. Boos will make arrangements and notify the Commissioners of the times. <br /> <br />Motion by Chairperson Hetland and seconded by Commissioner Cook to require park dedication at <br />the rural rate for Outlot B of Brookview Estates. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Absent: None. <br /> <br />Parks/Utilities Supervisor Boos explained that Willow Ridge will be urban lots with a berm and <br />transportational trail being constructed by the developer at his expense. Park dedication will be <br />cash. A trail plan will be submitted for the Commission's review. <br /> <br />There will be tree planting at Emerald Pond this spring with trees being purchased with the Small <br />Business Administration (SBA) Grant monies. <br /> <br />Prior to final plat approval for North Fork Moors Addition, the exact trail delineation will need to <br />be determined. <br /> <br />A public hearing on the Transportation/Trail Plan will be held March 21 at 7 p.m. It is important <br />that one or more Commissioners be present to answer questions. <br /> <br />A Tree Conservation meeting will be held February 21 at 6 p.m. This will be an informal meeting <br />with developers and, again, it is advised that at least one Commissioner be present to field <br />questions. <br /> <br />Mr. Boos explained that putting the storm sewer to Ramsey School affects the rinks located there <br />and the Commission will need to decide whether to replace the rinks, the location and who will pay <br />for the replacement. <br /> <br />Park and Recreation Commission/February 9, 1995 <br /> Page 4 of 5 <br /> <br /> <br />
