Consensus to recommend that the developer be required to comply with all tree conservation
policies in effect at the time of final plat approval.

Case #~:

DETAIL REQUIREMENTS FOR THE SUCCESSFUL LAWFUL
GAMBLING FUND PROJECT

Parks/Utilities Supervisor Boos will prepare a letter to Patty McGerr notifying her that her project
has been officially approved and defining the details and requirements associated with the project
as outlined below:

l)

Recognition of the monies from the City to help fund the project. Suggestions included a
ribbon cutting or groundbreaking ceremony with the press present.

2) A scrapbook with pictures detailing the project through its completion.

3)

A project report detailing the work done identifying species of plants and trees included in
the oasis.

Commissioner Cook offered earlier to help with deciding on the indigenous plants to be placed in
the oasis.

COMMISSION INPUT

Parks/Utilities Supervisor Boos spoke about the Willow Ridge subdivision located north of the
Amber Ridge Subdivision, along TH #47.

He showed the latest plan indicating a 40-foot trail corridor with a berm continuing from Amber
Ridge north to 153rd Avenue N.W. At one point, the trail and berm will switch proximity with
TH #47 providing for a slight "S" curve. Mr. Boos indicated that with this configuration, the berm
will still be separating homeowners from TH #47, provide something other than a straight path to
transverse, and possibly act as a deterrent to persons who may be inclined to ride bikes,
rollerblade, or otherwise go too fast on a long straight stretch of path possibly interfering with
others using the trail.

Next Park and Recreation Commission Meeting

The next regular Park and Recreation Commission meeting will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday,
April 13, 1995 at the Municipal Center.

ADJOURNMENT

Consensus of the Commission to adjourn the meeting.

The regular Park and Recreation Commission meeting adjourned at 7:00 p.m.

Park and Recreation Commission/March 8, 1995
Page 3 of 4
