NOTE PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES The Commission noted the following: 1. Planning Commission public hearing and regular meeting minutes dated August 1, 1995. Planning Commission public hearing and regular meeting minutes dated September 5, 1995. 3. Planning Commission special meeting minutes dated September 11, 1995. COMMISSION BUSINESS: Case #4: FILLING THE VACANCY ON THE PARK AND RECREATION COMMISSION Ms. Margaret Cormolly, Mr. expound on their reasons to Commissioners. Reid Droegemueller, and Mr. Steve Ostmm wer.e present to serve on the Commission and to field questions from the Each applicant gave a description of their past and present community involvement, objectives they would like to see the Commission pursue, ideas for park and trail planning, commitment, and availability. Chairperson Hetland presented an overview of the Commission and its mission, and expressed concern with past Commission members being committed for only a few months before resigning. The applicants were excused and discussion ensued. The Commission felt all three candidates were very qualified to fill the vacancy. Motion by Commissioner Cook and seconded by Commissioner Johns to recommend appointment of Steve Ostmm to the Park and Recreation Commission for a term to expire on October 31, 1997. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Commissioners Asfahl, Cook, Johns, LaMere and Skinner. Voting No: None. Absent: None. Chairperson Hetland voiced "I do not have to vote because there is already a majority vote."
