NOTE CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES <br /> <br />The Commission noted the joint City Council/Planning Commission workshop minutes dated <br />August 1, 1995. <br /> <br />NOTE PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES <br /> <br />The Commission noted the following: <br /> <br />1. Planning Commission public hearing and regular meeting minutes dated August 1, 1995. <br /> <br />Planning Commission public hearing and regular meeting minutes dated September 5, <br />1995. <br /> <br />3. Planning Commission special meeting minutes dated September 11, 1995. <br /> <br />COMMISSION BUSINESS: <br /> <br />Case #4: <br /> <br />FILLING THE VACANCY ON THE PARK AND RECREATION <br />COMMISSION <br /> <br />Ms. Margaret Cormolly, Mr. <br />expound on their reasons to <br />Commissioners. <br /> <br />Reid Droegemueller, and Mr. Steve Ostmm wer.e present to <br />serve on the Commission and to field questions from the <br /> <br />Each applicant gave a description of their past and present community involvement, objectives <br />they would like to see the Commission pursue, ideas for park and trail planning, commitment, <br />and availability. <br /> <br />Chairperson Hetland presented an overview of the Commission and its mission, and expressed <br />concern with past Commission members being committed for only a few months before <br />resigning. <br /> <br />The applicants were excused and discussion ensued. The Commission felt all three candidates <br />were very qualified to fill the vacancy. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Cook and seconded by Commissioner Johns to recommend <br />appointment of Steve Ostmm to the Park and Recreation Commission for a term to expire on <br />October 31, 1997. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Commissioners Asfahl, Cook, Johns, LaMere and Skinner. Voting <br />No: None. Absent: None. Chairperson Hetland voiced "I do not have to vote because there is <br />already a majority vote." <br /> <br /> Park and Recreation Commission/October 12, 1995 <br /> Page 2 of 5 <br /> <br /> <br />
