Case #2: UPDATE ON THE PARKS COMPREHENSIVE PLAN DOCUMENT <br /> <br />Parks/Utilities Supervisor Boos .presented the plan outline and a portion dealing with the <br />Commissions role and purpose. The consensus of the Commission was to review the update and <br />forward recommendations to Mr. Boos. <br /> <br />Case #3: COMMISSIONMEMBER TERM EXPIRATIONS <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Johns and seconded by Commissioner LaMere to recommend City <br />Council reappoint Chairman Hetland and Commissioners Asfahl and Skinner to terms to expire <br />October 1997. <br /> <br />Motion can'ied. Voting Yeg: Co-chairperson Cook and Commissioners Johns and LaMere. <br />Voting No: None. Absent: None. Abstaining: Chairperson Hetland, Commissioners Asfahl <br />and Skinner. <br /> <br />COMMISSION INPUT <br /> <br />Parks/Utilities Supervisor Boos indicated that the boardwalk section of the Lake Itasca Trail is <br />nearly complete, and questioned if the Commission desired a ribbon cutting ceremony. <br /> <br />Mr. Boos and Commissioner Cook both commented on positive responses by residents using the <br />trail. <br /> <br />The concensus of the Commission was to have a ribbon cutting ceremony 6 P.M., Monday, <br />October 23, 1995, at the Lake Itasca Trail. Notices will be posted advising residents of the event. <br /> <br />Next Park and Recreation Commission Meeting <br /> <br />The next regular Park and Recreation Commission meeting will be held at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, <br />November 9, 1995, at the Municipal Center. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion by Chairperson Hetland <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Hetland, Commissioners Asfahl, <br />LaMere and Skinner. Voting No: None.
