Motion by Councilmember Peterson and seconded by Councilmember Beahen to adopt <br />Resolution g95-01-030 authorizing amendment to the 1995 Adopted General Fund Budget <br />for the purchase of one 3,000 gallon fire service drop tank for the Fire Department. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Hardin, Councilmembers Peterson, Beahen and <br />Zimmerman. Voting No: None. Absent: CouncilmemberBeyer. <br /> <br />Ms. Hart stated that the Finance Committee also discussed the maintenance contract <br />renewal for the civil defense siren system. It appears that Doradus Corporation has the <br />software for testing and evaluating the systems, exclusively. <br /> <br />Motion by Mayor Hardin and seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman to approve the <br />contract with Doradus Corporation for 1995 maintenance of civil defense siren <br />receiver/decoders. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Hardin, Councilmembers Zimmerman, Beahen and <br />Peterson. Voting No: None. Absent: CouncilmemberBeyer. <br /> <br />Ms. Hart stated that the City Charter specifically states that a budget calendar shall be <br />established annually by resolution. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Beahen and seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman to adopt <br />Resolution g95-01-031 approving the City of Ramsey's 1996 Budget Calendar. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Hardin, Councilmembers Beahen, Zimmerman and <br />Peterson. Voting No: None. Absent: CouncilmemberBeyer. <br /> <br />Ms. Hart reported that the Finance Committee also discussed insurance coverage for the <br />City. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Beahen and seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman to <br />approve retainage of insurance coverage with the League of Minnesota Cities Insurance <br />Trust and related carriers utilizing Option II for a premium amount of $84,859. <br /> <br />Motion carded. Voting Yes: Mayor Hardin, Councilmembers Beahen, Zimmerman and <br />Peterson. Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember Beyer. <br /> <br />Case 09: Tax Forfeit Properties <br /> <br />City Administrator Schroeder stated that every year, Anoka County gives notice to the City <br />of Ramsey of tax forfeit properties. This year there are three such parcels. The first parcel <br />is 12 acres which could be acquired for open space and drainage. The second parcel is 90 <br />to 95% wet and could be acquired for open space and drainage. The third parcel is just east <br />of Waco Stxeet N.W. and was intended to be deeded to the City but it was not recorded; it's <br />a paved roadway. He reminded Council that the City is not relegated to paying market <br />value for these properties if they are used for open space and drainage. The first parcel <br />could be part of a future extension of County Road #116. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Peterson and seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman to adopt <br />Resolution g95-01-03 lA approving classification and requesting that Anoka County Board <br />of Commissioners convey the following properties to the City of Ramsey for public use: <br />PIN 29-32-25-11-0003, 21-32-25-43-0034 and 24-32-25-43-0006. <br /> <br />City Council/January 24, 1995 <br /> Page 14 of 15 <br /> <br /> <br />
