2) Assessment Notices <br /> <br />Councilmember Peterson asked that a one-page letter be composed clearly explaining the <br />assessment process, in simple language, so citizens know their rights, etc. He asked that <br />Council review the letter. <br /> <br />3) Cul-de-sac Length <br /> <br />Councilmember Peterson stated that there has been on-going discussions about the length <br />(600) chosen for cul-de-sacs. He asked that staff research the reason for the 600' length. <br /> <br />4) Annual Spring Events <br /> <br />Councilmember Peterson thanked staff and citizen volunteers for their help with the Pet <br />Clinic, Environmental Expo, Tree Sale, Clean-up Day and the Becky Weiss Bike Road-eo. <br />The Bike Road-eo had a record attendance. He added that it's programs such as these that <br />make Ramsey a better place to live. <br /> <br />5) Minnesota Open Meeting Law <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich stated that with regard to the open meeting law, Council can recess <br />the meeting tonight and reopen the meeting tomorrow night to deal with the Comprehensive <br />Plan. Following the reopening of the meeting, they can vote to close it. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT/RECESS <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Beahen and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to recess the <br />City Council meeting to tomorrow night, May 10, 1995 at 5:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Hardin, Councilmembers Beahen, Beyer, Peterson <br />and Zimmerman.
