Motion by Mayor Hardin and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to adopt the concept of <br />Community Policing. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Hardin, Councilmembers Beyer, Beahen, Peterson <br />and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Mr. Schroeder stated that the third item for discussion was the proposed drug and alcohol <br />policy. The changes suggested by the Committee will supplant original language, the <br />policy will be presented to staff for input and brought back at a subsequent Personnel <br />Committee meeting for review. , <br /> <br />Mr. Schroeder stated that the Personnel Committee received an update on the Senior <br />Accountant application process. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Beyer and seconded by Councilmember Peterson to offer the <br />position of Senior Accountant to Diana Lund with an annual salary of $34,000 plus $654 <br />that will go toward a one-week vacation bank to be used in 1995. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Hardin, Councilmembers Beyer, Peterson, Beahen <br />and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Mr. Schroeder stated that the Personnel Committee received a project/procedures update. <br />One of the items reviewed was the retention of escrow relating to a property in Windemere <br />Woods. This subject will be on the next Finance agenda. There were no action items from <br />this case. With regard to the Comprehensive Plan, Councilmember Beyer added a request <br />for a closed executive session on a personnel issue to be held on Wednesday, May 10, <br />1995, at 5:30 p.m. or Monday, May 15, 1995 at 5:00 if we cannot do it on Wednesday due <br />to posting requirements. <br /> <br />Councilmember Beyer felt that the full Council should be present at that meeting. <br /> <br />MAYOR AND COUNCIL INPUT <br /> <br />1) Snowmobile Damage <br /> <br />Councilmember Beyer stated that, for lack of a better idea, we should start a committee to <br />review what needs to be done about snowmobiling in the City. This problem needs to be <br />addressed. <br /> <br />Councilmember Peterson suggested that the Ramsey Resident could ask for citizens to <br />volunteer on the committee to give their input. <br /> <br />Councilmember Beyer stated she would like to see some from the snowmobile clubs and <br />also some non-snowmobilers. <br /> <br />Councilmember Beahen agreed it would be good to have a committee to review these <br />problems. <br /> <br />Kathy Rand again asked for help in redoing her sod. <br /> <br />City Council/May 9, 1995 <br /> Page 9 of 10 <br /> <br /> <br />
