Motion failed. Voting Yes: Councilmembers Beyer and Zimmerman. Voting No: <br />Councilmembers Be~en and Peterson. Absent: Mayor Hardin. <br /> <br />It was the consensus of the City Council that a workshop be scheduled to address the five <br />items regarding conflict issues, and to possibly bring in someone from the League <br />Conference presentation to help facilitate such workshop. <br /> <br />Councilmember Beyer commented that this should not be delayed. <br /> <br />Case #8: Report from Personnel Committee <br /> <br />1) Review Organizational Chart <br /> <br />The Personnel Committee reviewed a request from Building Maintenance Dan Bray to be <br />reassigned from Administrative Services to Public Works. They recommended denial of <br />the request. The Personnel Committee then reviewed a request to have Recording <br />Secretary Jo Thieling conduct a review of her Time Spent Profile (TSP), and they <br />recommended approval of this request. The Personnel Committee also received a request <br />to authorize City Administrator Ryan Schroeder to post and fill the Administrative Assistant <br />position in Class 8. The Personnel Committee recommended that this position be rethought <br />and brought back for further action. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Peterson and seconded by Councilmember Beahen to take no <br />action on the Building Maintenance Worker reassignment request, to direct that the <br />Recording Secretary complete an update of the position Time Spent profile for possible <br />future action, and readdress the Administrative Assistant position and return to the <br />Personnel Committee for further action. <br /> <br />Motion carded. Voting Yes: Mayor Hardin, Councilmembers Peterson Beahen, Beyer, <br />and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />2) Fire Chief Performance Evaluation <br /> <br />The Personnel Committee reviewed the performance evaluation and ratings to be used in <br />the evaluation of the Fire Chiefi No Council action is necessary. <br /> <br />3) Appoint New Fire Fighter <br /> <br />Motion by Mayor Hardin and seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman to offer the <br />position of Volunteer Fire Fighter to Richard Helgeson,contingent upon acceptable results <br />of physical examinations and tests. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Hardin, Councilmembers Zimmerman, Beahen, Beyer <br />and Peterson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />4) Community Oriented Policing Program <br /> <br />The Personnel Committee reviewed a request from the Police Department to submit an <br />application to the Department of Justice for additional funding through the COPS FAST <br />Grant Program.
