Sergeant Gustafson replied that the action would be taken by City Council in an ordinance <br />amendment. There is a 30-day waiting period following the publication of the ordinance <br />and then it becomes part of the City Code. <br /> <br />Councilmember Peterson added that the City could have this in effect prior to December 1, <br />1995. He stated that what he is hearing is that the long-term solution is a trail system. <br /> <br />Councilmember Zimmerman suggested that the trail system should be talked about with the <br />other Couneilmembers who are not present.
