As you know, this building was placed on the National Register of Historic Sites.
Sites placed on this register are screened and evaluated very closely; only those sites deemed to
have true historic value are given this designation. The Ramsey School qualified for this high
distinction. Sites on the National Register are covered by specific rules governing their care,
restoration and/or removal.

I.t is the obligation of the community, the county, and the state to support and care for
these special places. ACHS supports your efforts to preserve the Ramsey School. Information
on this historic site, as well as all others in Anoka County, is retained in the ACHS archives.
These files are open to the public.

We look forward to hearing a report of your plans at the next meeting of the ACHS
Board of Directors, 14 December 1995. Meetings are held at 7:30 p.m. in Colonial Hall
Museum and are open to the public.

Sincerely,

ie Wendel
Co Directors, ACHS
