Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Hardin, Councilmembers Beyer, Peterson, Beahen <br />and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Beahen and seconded by Councilmember Peterson to re-appoint <br />Paul Holland to serve until a replacement is found. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Hardin, Councilmembers Beahen, Peterson, Beyer <br />and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Beahen and seconded by Councilmember Peterson to advertise <br />two vacancies on the Planning Commission. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Hardin, Councilmembers Beahen, Peterson, Beyer <br />and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Beyer and seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman to re- <br />appoint Terry Hendriksen to serve until a replacement is found. <br /> <br />Motion failed: Voting Yes: Councilmembers Beyer and Zimmerman. Voting No: Mayor <br />Hardin and Councilmembers Beahen and Peterson. <br /> <br />Further discussion: Councilmember Beyer commented about the vote being personally <br />biased. Councilmember Zimmerman stated there seems to be a lot of people dropping out <br />of commissions and suggested there needs to be more interaction on Council's part with <br />these commissions. Mayor Hardin pointed out that the Council has just had joint meetings <br />with the commissions. Councilmember Zimmerman stated there are reasons why people <br />are not choosing to run for another term on the commission. <br /> <br />Case #13: City Council Schedule for December 1995 <br /> <br />Finance Officer Hart stated that, typically, Council has not been having the second meeting <br />in December and that if this is Council's desire again, staff would post notice of same. <br />Staff is recommending the second meeting in December be canceled, but that Council <br />should be put on notice that due to the activity level, a second meeting may be called. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Peterson and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to cancel the <br />second meeting in December and to direct staff to post same. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Hardin, Councilmembers Peterson, Beyer, Beahen <br />and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Peterson and seconded by Councilmember Beahen to designate <br />Mayor Hardin to come into City Hall on December 28, 1995, to review all approved bills <br />for payment prior to year end. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Hardin, Councilmembers Peterson, Beahen, Beyer <br />and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #14: Ratify Action of the Negotiation Committee <br /> <br />City Administrator Schroeder stated that Council interviewed four finalists for the <br />Adminis~ative Services Manager and authorized offering the position to Linda Waite <br />Smith. She has accepted and should be starting in six days.
