The development of Ramsey Town Center would provide a
destination on the western end of this roadway for many County residents who may not be
familiar with the existing local name, Industry Boulevard. The proposed name change through
the City of Ramsey would be a major step forward establishing a single, uniform name for this
roadway throughout the County. Less than a two-mile segment would remain within the City of
Anoka as Industry Boulevard. The City of Anoka has been requested to consider renaming the
remaining portion of C.R. # 116 within its jurisdiction.

City Council/July 8, 2003
