January 27, 1994

Bryan and Diane Olson
14513 Bowers Dr. N.~.
Ramsey, MN 55303

Ramsey Planning and Zoning Commission
15153 Nowthen Blvd.

Dear Planning and Zoning Committee members:

I am writing to express my concern regarding the request by
Robert and Sue Bowman at 14450 Bowers Dr. to allow them to
operate a electronic auto equipment repair and sales business
on their property. I am opposed to a use permit being granted
to them for several reasons Including: increased traffic and
parking on the street; probable damage to pavement caused by
the semi trucks; and decreased re-sale value .of our home.

l~e have lived on Bowers Drive for two years, and our entire
family has come to really appreciate this friendly and quiet
neighborhood. ~/e want It lo remain a residential neighborhood.
I believe true cottage industries are beneficial for many
families and should be encouraged, but residential
neighborhoods are zoned "residential" for a reason. When
employees are being hired, semis are driving' up and down the
street, and noise levels are incre'asing, that business is no
longer appropriate for a residential neighborhood.

Thank you.

Sincerely,

Diane Olson
