Ms. Frolik inquired whether Staff could work with the consultants on the land use and "do a little
fine tuning."

Commissioner Hendriksen stated he had no objections to Staff presenting their recommendations at
the joint meeting.

Commissioner Deemer directed that the figures in the table comparing residential density needed to
be amended by Economic Development Coordinator Jim Gromberg.

Motion by Commissioner Holland and seconded by Commissioner Deemer directing Staff to work
with the consultants to review what the Commission has proposed for Figure #7 and bring back
any recommendations for review and comparison at a joint meeting with City Council.

Further Discussion: A meeting in early July was suggested to allow for a public hearing in
August.

Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Bawden, Commissioners Holland, Deemer,
Hendriksen, and Thorud. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioners LaDue and Terry.

Commissioner Deemer commended the consultants for their expediency, commenting that this
process is going much smoother and faster than past experiences.

Case #5: Monthly Status Report

Commissioner Deemer noted that the thoroughfare setback ordinance will be coming back to the
Commission in July, and Mr. Jankowski briefly discussed Anoka County's expected amendments.

Commissioner Deemer also noted that the traffic counts for Ramsey were not presented in this
agenda, and Ms. Frolik stated they were inadvertently omitted and will be included in the next
agenda.

Case #6: Zoning Bulletin and Zoning News

Commissioner Deemer briefly noted from the Zoning Bulletin a relevant case regarding sign
ordinances. He inquired whether possibly the police department or public works department could
begin enforcing the City's sign ordinance and start picking up signs in violation.

Commission Hendriksen informed Staff that the Tom Thumb store on Ramsey Boulevard N.W.
has placed its large metal sign advertising gasoline in the paved portion of the right-of-way.

COMMISSION INPUT

None

ADJOURNMENT

Motion by Commissioner Hendriksen and seconded by Commissioner Holland to adjourn the
meeting

Motion carried.
