Mr. Gromberg advised he would get the plaques and engraving accomplished prior to Business
Appreciation Day.

Case #3: Membership Drive

Economic Development Coordinator Gromberg noted that there were four vacancies on the
Economic Development Commission (EDC). Mr. Crromberg suggested interviewing more than
four persons in an effort to fill these vacancies with the best qualified candidates, as it would be
fairly difficult to deny an appointment if the number of vacancies was greater than the number of
applicants. He advised that the City has received only three applications for the EDC, and they are
tentatively scheduled to be interviewed at the May meeting. Mr. Gromberg proposed that each
Commissioner solicit one person to apply to the Commission in addition to the current applicants.

The Commission concurred that they will attempt to obtain more applicants prior to the next
meeting.

STAFF INPUT

Economic Development Coordinator Gromberg reviewed the Anoka Electric Cooperative building
site plans and the recommended changes of the Comprehensive Land Use Plan.

COMMISSION INPUT

None.

ADJOURNMENT

Motion by Commissioner Ullen and seconded by Commissioner Kent to adjourn the meeting.

Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Wagner, Commissioners Ullen, Kent, and Stafld.
Voting No: None.
