The letter has been attached to the minutes as Exhibit A. The
letter outlines Mr. Larson's reasons for why the City of Ramsey should be assigned an individual
Zip Code other than its currently used 55303, which is identified as being the City of Anoka. Mr.
Larson then asked the Commission what their plan of action would be.

The Commission briefly discussed it and suggested encouraging the new Mayor-Elect Glen Hardin
to send a letter to Senator-Elect Grams encouraging him to promote Ramsey's efforts to be
assigned an individual Zip Code and that it may be advantageous to start a petition drive. This
petition drive could be conducted in conjunction with this year's Ramsey Business Expo. Mr.
Larson expressed an interest in helping the Commission with conducting the petition drive. Mr.
Larson stated he would look forward to hearing from the Commission or Staff in the near future
regarding the petition drive at the Business Expo.

APPROVE AGENDA

Motion by Commissioner Kent and seconded by Commissioner Nelson to approve the agenda as
submitted.

Motion carried.
