Ms. Frolik stated if you look at well-groomed fields you should see the grant at work. <br />People should see what grants do. <br /> <br />Chief Auspos commented on the $80,000 grant for riot control in Bird Island, Minnesota; <br />some grants are of no value. <br /> <br />Mr. Boos stated that a lot of the grants we have are inordinate. <br /> <br />Mr. Jankowski stated he did not feel that anything we have applied for has not been <br />needed. <br /> <br />Mr. Schroeder stated we should remain cognizant to the fact - do we spend $4,500 to get <br />$4,0O0. <br /> <br />Sewer and Water Utilities - Mr. Boos stated there is no revenues projected. He explained <br />the line items. The hydrant flags are for the remainder of the flags needed for 1995. He <br />questioned the blank after the water study. <br /> <br />Ms. Hart said she thought it was supposed to be complete this year. <br /> <br />Mr. Boos stated that the telegraph charges are for the Gopher State One calls. We have to <br />pay a charge for locates; $300 should be enough. Postage is for the money involved in <br />special mailings before utility billings, etc. The money for building and structures is to <br />refurbish Well #2; we are a ways away from Well #3. The equipment request is to rent a <br />large air compressor for blowing out sand. Money for boiler inspection is annual. He also <br />explained the dues. Relating to sewer - jet clean/televise sewer - he stated this needs to be <br />done each year. <br /> <br />Mr. Schroeder asked "do we have a scheduled time to talk about the CIP suggested in the <br />water study.
