Case gl:~ Introduce Jon McLaughlin to Fire Board <br /> <br />Jon McLaughlin was attending a class this evening; therefore, the Fire Board tabled this <br />case until the next meeting. <br /> <br />Case #3: Status of the New Fire Tanker <br /> <br />Fire ChiefCaSffin stated that the new tanker track is on the production line at Ford and will <br />be delivere~d in April to General. Delivery to Ramsey's Fire Department is scheduled for <br />January 1, 1995. <br /> <br />City Administrator Schroeder stated it had been suggested that Quad Cities Cable could do <br />a video on the "building of a truck" when the tanker gets to General. <br /> <br />Chief Griffin stated that General will be contacting him at different intervals in the tanker's <br />process. <br /> <br />Case #4: Discussion of Hiring Status <br /> <br />Fire Chief Griffin stated that the Fire Department is planning to have an information <br />center/meeting two Saturdays a year. The intent would be to invite people in to hear <br />members of the Fire Department talk about the department, fire fighting, etc. Also on the <br />agenda would be the requirements for becoming a fire fighter, training, time commitment, <br />and equipment. Those interested would be encouraged to fill out an application, thereby <br />adding to the list of names for possible hires. He stated the f'n'st meeting would probably <br />be conducted in May. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion by Boardmember Pearson and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to adjourn the <br />meeting. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Councilmember Beyer, Boardmembers Pearson and <br />Simpson. Voting No: None.
